Texas Never Told Her:
Documenting personal narratives of Texas women's sexual health

Inspired from growing up in the county with the highest teen pregnancy rate in the country, I did this journalism/design project because I absolutely needed to before I left Texas.

The four-month long project consisted of interviewing women in South Texas, none of whom had received sexual education. Additionally I interviewed clinic and daycare staff from South Texas to learn and further research the social perception of state funding and women's health. "Texas Never Told Her" became a full-on multimedia project comprised of narrative slideshows, interactive graphics, and information hosted on the Texas Never Told Her Web site.

I hope to continue working on the project (from wherever) after graduation from Carnegie Mellon.
